Ironsword: Wizards & Warriors 2
This game was designed by Zippo games (which was subsidary to bigger video game developer company called Rare) and published by Acclaim Entertainment in 1989.
In this Wizards & Warriors sequel. You control Knight called Kuros in the land of Sindarin. Your main target is to kill yet again, Evil wizard called Malkil which was protagonist in the first game of the series. But in this part, Malkil has claimed all the elemental forms of Earth, Wind, Fire and Water. Our here must venture land of Sindarin to find all these elements. While searching the elements he must find parts to the legendary "Ironsword" in order to defeat Malkil for good.
Gameplay is pretty much same as in the first game. You can move Kuros left and right, crouch and jump. Swing his sword or shoot some magical spell to defeat enemies. Health and magic bars are also included. While travelling through land of Sindarin, you must find also keys to open treasure chests, which consist valuable upgrades like armor, spells and money. Money can be used in-game shop which you can find almost every level in the game.
Game also has and continue system which lets you restart the game where you left off up to two times. Although you lose your continue feature due to an in-game bug when you merely setting foot in the earth domain. There's also password system, so you don't have to start all over again, if you lose all of your continues (Password system "saves" all your lives and upgrades, so progressing through with lots of lives to next levels is recommend.)
Very enjoyable experience, although it can be frustrating in some occassions. Overall game was great. If you have played the first one in the series. Give this one a shot. I think you won't get dissapointed.
