Battletoads
Every NES gamer's nightmare, one and only... Battletoads.
One of the known titles on the system and one of the hardest game too. Game is an Beat'em up platformer, where you control battletoad called Rash (and if you're playing coop then with Zitz.) Your main goal is to save his friends, Angelica and Pimple who where kidnapped by evil Dark Queen. Rash must go way through 13 brutal levels with limited continues and lives. Game doesn't contain any saving features or password system, so when you're out of lives and continues then you go back to the beginning and start all over again.
Game has lots of nice elements. You fly with somekind of flying vechicle, climb on snakes, ride with surf boards and such. Basic attacks are punching and you can also ram with head butt. You can also have stick to use as an weapon which make some parts of game little bit easier.
Different versions of game (US and Japan) has some major differences in game. In difficulty aspect the famicom version is considered much easier version than US one. So if you want less challenge, you should pick Famicom version first and lookout US version later.
Overall game in all aspects is great. Visually stunning, gameplay is awesome with some great music it is one of the best games on the console. If you doesn't afraid challenge, you should pick up and give it a try!
